Youth Care About The Earth 2010

Youth Care About The Earth is one of real effort of youth care to the earth manifestation, being concerned with the earth is not only manifested through caring for the environment, but there are some aspects which are realized through several activities that show concern for the youth to the earth, among others through social activities, cultural, education and youth activities. There are still a lot of our young generation that less care about the earth.

This event was held on the cooperation between BEM STISIPOL Raja Haji ( Student Executive Board of Raja Haji Social and Political Science School ) and BEM STT Indonesia ( Student Executive Board of Indonesia Technology School). This activity is as a form of student organization cohesiveness of both parties, especially those organizations. This cooperation is expected to strengthen further ties among students.
Besides that, these activities as a proof that the concerns of students to successful local development, promote tourism and local culture to the national and international. Riau Island Province is rich of culture and look to a very strategic geographic location directly borders with neighboring countries namely Malaysia and Singapore, this is an advantage for the Riau Island Province.

The activity that organized for the first time is expected to become an annual agenda. Where is a good addition to strengthening the friendly relations among the campus, inter-province and international, so the youths take part in the success of World Peace.

FORM OF ACTIVITY:
Home Stay which the participants stay at home of foster family who are in Penyengat Island, the goal is to have inner attachment among the participants who come from local youth, national youth and international youth with their foster parents.

Go Green is the tree planting activities undertaken by all participants along with their foster parents, the goal is to form youth awareness on the environment.

Culture Night is an activity to show the cultural of each participant, the goal is to introduce and preserve the culture, other than that this activity is a form of cultural awareness of youth who care about the earth.

Dialogue which  themed “Youth In The World Care About The Earth, Culture, Social Altruism Through Education” is a dialogue between Youth, where the purpose of this activity is to form of concern youth efforts towards the earth and its contents.

Institutional Visit in this case, visits the Museum of Sultan Badrul Alamsyah.

The activity was conducted during 2 (two) days from June 12^th to 13^th at Tanjungpinang City and Penyengat Island, Riau Island Province Indonesia.

I have been from there, see the power of youths can make a changes to our environmental. We can build a team, local team, national team, even an international team to bring peace and health to our earth. I do really hope, we can care about our earth and keep it carefully with full of love.
